The Race

Race Details The Craig Cup welcomes runners of all abilities and especially encourages teams of friends, co-workers, and training partners. If you've not run cross country before, this is the place to start! All USATF members are eligible to score as part of the Maine State 5K XC Championship and Maine Grand Prix race series. Membership registration to Maine USATF is available here or at the race. Regardless, you only score points in the Grand Prix if you are a member at the time of the race.
There will be age group and team awards for the Run for Life and USATF awards for the Maine State 5K XC Championship.
About the Twin Brook trails A partnership between the Town of Cumberland and the Coastal Nordic Ski Club developed and maintains approximately 10K of recreational and competition cross country running and ski trails designed by Olympic biathlete and trail designer John Morton. The wide, woodland trails are generally above grade to improve drainage and generally free of the rocks, roots, and mudholes typical of maine single-track trails. The course is rolling, with some short but steep climbs and drops in the woodland loops.
